UTVOLS Posted July 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2007 We will be staying in Victoria on a Saturday evening in a week and planning on going to Butchart Gardens and possibly staying for the fireworks. How would you suggest we dress? Is it terribly chilly? Also, should we pre-purchase our tickets ahead of time, and are there discount tickets available? Thanks so much!:)
LouisV Posted July 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2007 Victoria at this time of year is very pleasant as long as it's not raining. Pmatch
Langley Cruisers Posted July 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2007 I suggest layers, for obvious reasons. It can get cool at night, even in summer. I also suggest long pants (jeans, or the shorts that convert back to pants with zippers), as the mosquitoes are fierce this year. The Gardens and the fireworks are beautiful. Have a great time! UTVOLS Posted July 18, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 18, 2007 Didn't even think about the mosquitos:( . I suppose, I was also thinking that the dress would not be as casual as zip-off pants and layers....Maybe it's all the talk about tea;) . I appreciate your advice very much.:)
Langley Cruisers Posted July 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2007 I suppose, I was also thinking that the dress would not be as casual as zip-off pants and layers....Maybe it's all the talk about tea;) Oh my goodness no, it's extremely casual. Dress for walking and for comfort. :) You can buy your tickets online, but it costs an extra dollar. If you get out there on Saturday early enough, you should be able to get in, but it does fill up quickly.
