Formal Night

While the formal nights are usually at sea they do not do a formal night the evening before you disembark on all ships I have ever been on. The last night is usually casual since they know that you have to get your packing done before dinner with possibly a little left over packing when you get back to your room from dinner.

Formal night does not have to be the "day at sea"...it might be a day when you are only at port till 4pm. Usually it's the second day on the ship for the 4 day cruises.

When we are on Carnival and they dock at some place like Freeport on the 2nd day...then the ship leaves Freeport by 4pm...Formal night is THAT night.
