jackdis Posted August 18, 2007 Author #52 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I am going 10/7--and have read every review and article --....and yes-- I will have some questions...... how was casino? what were your excursions? and were they booked via NCL kinds of music, activities how were bars and lounges and prices???? I am planning on ordering a bar set up and bringing on wine--did you do either..... thanks janette (jaja) -The casino was small. It had a variety of slots and a few tables. We played in the slot tournament. That was fun. We also bought the chip special (3 for $10) when we got onboard. -We booked the Fantasea Snorkel Cruise through NCL in Hamilton and we did a trolley train tour of St. George. Both were good. I wrote a lot about them in my review. I loved the snorkel cruise! -Bars and lounges were good. We did most of our drinking by the pool. Prices are vacation prices. Helmets of beer were about 20 bucks for 6 beers. Buy 5 get one free, I think. Import a few bottle more. Drinks ranged in price, maybe 6-9 bucks. I'm not sure. -We ordered a bar set up and had wine in our room. We also bought the romance package. Good deal!
jaja Posted August 18, 2007 #53 Share Posted August 18, 2007 THANKS!! SO glad I asked- those were 2 of the excursions we were considering...sound good I usually do the slots--so as long as I can get one-I will be happy--and so will NCL because I usually leave a nice deposit .... glad to hear you could get a bar set up --my TA said she was told no...with the fear of starting the age old booze battle-I will say I usually bring a bottle (checked luggage) --but after reading the posts-think NCL is way to strict for me!) I always bring wine (carry on) for room consumption -what was your experience with the corking fee situation (there are so many opinions)--asked to pay upon check in?? or just let thru? I do so appreciate your time....... janette (jaja)
jackdis Posted August 18, 2007 Author #54 Share Posted August 18, 2007 We didn't bring any wine onboard, but I believe you just payed the corkage fee at a separate table set up when you are at the terminal. If you think of anything else, let me know. It was such a GREAT trip!
WECRUSIN Posted August 20, 2007 #55 Share Posted August 20, 2007 Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We are going on the Crown October 14. This is our first cruise and now after reading your review I feel as though we will have no problem finding our way around. Thanks again for giving us such a great account of your trip, it was very helpful. :) Cindy

dirsa Posted August 21, 2007 #57 Share Posted August 21, 2007 Hi, I know everyone is tired of this. We will be on the Empress to Bermuda in late September. i have heard that RCCL has coke products. The only thing I drink, except for coffee and juice is fresca. If they don't let you carry it on I am screwed. Does anyone out there know for sure. I was thinking I was going to bring some cans of it in my carry on, but I am not sure if I will be able to or not??? Thanks!

DMRick Posted August 23, 2007 #61 Share Posted August 23, 2007 I thought I saw someone ask about this, but missed the answer. Do you know how much the transportation ticket is, and which transport it covers? I don't want to have to worry about correct change etc, so I'd rather have the pass. Does the pass work on the ferry as well? Thanks.
LI Shores Posted August 23, 2007 #62 Share Posted August 23, 2007 Three day bus/ferry pass is $28.00. Will take you anywhere. If you don't have a pass (you can get them for 1day as well) you MUST have exact change.
