Go to http://www.marriott.com and you can pull up all the hotel information, facilities, location, attractions, room availability etc. Great hotel amd location. We'l be staying there in Frebuary

Most of the hotels websites in BA have great pictures. I just would like to hear from someone who has stayed there recently. Finding out that even when the hotels say they are 5 stars in BA they can be 2..

Claudia,

We stayed there in Feb of this year. It is very clean, comfortable, centrally located, a short cab ride to the pier and DOMESTIC airport (if you decide to go to the Falls). Rooms overlooking the park are more spacious than standard sized rooms. If breakfast is not included in the roomrate, eat off property...they charge a bundle for breakfast. Local calls; e.g. to your internet provider (Earthnet), are charged per minute and not per call.

International flights from the U.S. arrive in BA in the early morning. Expect a CROWD of people in the lobby checking-in and checking-out. Check-in and Check-out was a nightmare. The lobby is small. Cruisers who have just left the ship, cruisers who want to get to the ship, and guests who have just arrived from their long international flight are all competing to get to check-in or check-out. If you book your room through the cruise line or TA, don't expect for your room to be available until 3:00 P.M. We booked a room overlooking the park through our daughter. Because it was a premium room we had no problem getting right into our room. Considering a large group in front of us were told they would have to wait until 3:00 to get into their room, it was a pleasant surprise to be taken directly to our room.

Florida Street and shopping is right across the street. There are also several great wine shops right across the street. You can buy some super wines for next to nothing, pay the ship's corkage fee and still spend less than the cheapest wine on the ship's wine list.

We arrived on a Monday morning, spent 1 night, went to the Falls, spent 2 nites there, and returned to the Marriott. The hotel stored our luggage for us when we went to the Falls, making it possible to travel to the Falls with only 2 small carry-ons.

Hope this helps....have a great cruise.

Thanks for the great info!

Appreciate it. Cruise line is using this hotel, but we have Marriott miles so thinking of booking on our own not through the cruiseline- to hopefully avoid the lines nightmare which I figured would be a problem.
