Best way to get to Kahaluu Beach on Kona???

We are cruising in and will only be there from 7:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. on a Sunday. I thought I read that there were no shuttles on Sunday. Any thoughts to how the best, least expensive, sure way to get to the Beach would be on a Sunday from anyone who has been there on this day. How far is the Beach (Kahaluu) from the pier?

you can take a taxi for probably about 15$ each way

 

the shuttle is 5$ per person

 

its only about 5-10 min up the road..kinda far to walk, but i never heard theres no shuttles on sunday :(

 

 

I would go for a taxi...easiest...

and wear swim shoes or flippers.. this beach is all rock and reef

There is a beach shuttle for 4 it ended up being more expensive 10 $ each

Cab is 15$ 1 way

Check out turtles

Wear watyer shoes or fins cUrrent is strong

Do not leave stuff unattended
