Snoopy12 Posted August 5, 2007 #11 Share Posted August 5, 2007 My group of 70+ sailed the 7/1/07 (Eastern) Valor Cruise. We all had a fantastic time. Thought the entertainment and activities on the ship were good. Kids had a great time in Camp Carnival. Celebrated several birthdays while on board. Food in the dinning room was very good, Lido deck food was average. We didn't have any problem with the staff, waiters, rooms stewards etc. everyone was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Actually we made a very good friend of a bar waiter names Slavko from Bosnia. Have even e-mailed back and forth a few times since we returned. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. Wish it was me again. Pegs222 Posted August 5, 2007 #12 Share Posted August 5, 2007 If you find the secret door to the secret deck that I have heard about on here I would love directions.Enjoy every minute. Karysa This is what I know about the secret door. It is not marked, but it leads to the observation deck. I have never been up on that deck, at least I do not think so, so I am going to check it out. hipcruzr Posted August 13, 2007 Author #13 Share Posted August 13, 2007 Hi all: I am back from 7 days of great fun on the Valor. I tell you this was the most fun of any cruise yet and we have been sailing since 1985. The staff enjoyed our group so much a few of them had tears in their eyes when we were leaving. Of course we did too, we did not want to leave. Everything met our expectations. The only down side was the ship was packed to the rafters, but all in all we did not come in contact with any rude or obnoxious passengers. needless to say their were lots of children on board, but they were under control MOST OF THE TIME. The food was great and lots of it. I enjoyed the itinerary very much. I think I found a place that was hotter than Grand Cayman and it was in Costa Maya. OH, and to top it off I actually hit the jackpot a nickel machine in the casino. I parked myself on the deck to see "the show" the late arriving passengers, but no luck, everyone arrived on time. I think they also were trying to get out of the heat. Any questions I will be glad to answer if I can. Oh, there must have been a high security alert when we left because we went through hell at the airport trying to get on board. Security was checking and rechecking everything they could. And that was coming and going.
