travgurl Posted August 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Which one to pick for Feb.? Glory--Nassau, St Thomas, St Maarten Triumph--Half Moon Cay, St Thomas, St Maarten, San Juan Nassau Valor--Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya Victory--San Juan, St Thomas, St Maarten We went on the Glory in July and went to Belize and Costa Maya, loved the ports. Our friends going have been to St Thomas, St Maarten and Grand Cayman, would not mind going to any of those again. Recommendations please!

alspal2 Posted August 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2007 We had the same problem. We couldnt decide between glory triumph and destiny. I wanted to go on a newer ship like the glory but i didnt really like the ports, nassau the stay is short and not a big fan of san juan. the triumph kind of the same ports. We have been on the destiny before i know its an older ship but it really has to do with the ports you stop at. So destiny won. Good luck on your decision, im sure which ever one you pick you will have a great time!!!
Tightlinerods Posted August 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2007 The only reason (IMO) to stop at Nassau is to go to Atlantis Casino, other wise the island leaves a lot to be desired.... These would get my vote Valor--Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya Victory--San Juan, St Thomas, St Maarten john

gottacruisesoon Posted August 5, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Love St. Thomas and St. Maarten but with Triumph you get to go to half moon cay too? That one sounds like lots of fun. Don't care much about Nassau or San Juan so those would just be lazy sea days for me. :)

CruzVinnieCruz Posted August 5, 2007 #10 Share Posted August 5, 2007 We were on theTriumph earlier this year and I read a lot of posts not to set your hopes high on seeing Half Moon Cay since it's a tender port. Well the ship suspended tendering early on due to rough seas and very few passengers actually stepped on shore.

Grits53 Posted August 5, 2007 #12 Share Posted August 5, 2007 I was interested in the replies to this question, since we have been planning to book the Glory's eastern itinerary for next spring. Since we have been to most of the western Caribbean ports, we wanted to try something different. We love the Conquest; therefore, we would presumably love the Glory. Plus, it would be a shorter drive for us than the other FL ports. (We don't fly.) We're not big on shopping or laying out on the beaches. We like to do things like snorkeling, visiting the stingrays, doing the ride and swim on horses, etc. Would the Glory's eastern itinerary be a good choice for us, or should we reconsider before I book?? dst Posted August 5, 2007 #13 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Grits: The Glory is a great ship (sailed her in May of 06) the ports are wonderful and exactly what you are looking for....book it and enjoy!
abitaturbodog Posted August 5, 2007 #14 Share Posted August 5, 2007 I'm a big fan of sea days, so I'd pick the Victory. With the ship getting into PR at 5pm, it's like getting 4 sea days!
