wdaniels73 Posted August 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Headed out in December on the Navigator and have adjoining balcony rooms on deck 8. Are you still allowed to have the balcony dividers open if you request it? I am not sure if this was changed as part of the new rules after the fire on Princess. On some of the ships where the dividers open ask the cabin attendant and they'll have the divider opened for you. d
truffles2 Posted August 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2007 I haven't heard of one being opened in years.........
g8rmomx2 Posted August 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Balcony dividers were opened for us on the Mariner in August of 2006. We asked our cabin attendent if the dividers could be opened, and they were opened before the muster drill. Hope they're still doing this when we return to the Mariner in January 2008.:)

MrsCorL Posted August 6, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 6, 2007 in april on gos, we had adjoining gs....the only thing holding them closed was a screw....we opened it but the 2nd time we did (after the room attendant closed it), we had a knock at the door by security....he told us it can not be opened and we were not supposed to do it again...he said its for safety reasons...... Micknmin Posted August 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 6, 2007 I don't know about other ships, but I was told by Royal Caribbean that they would remove the divider between our balconies on the Liberty next year.

HHFamily Posted August 6, 2007 #9 Share Posted August 6, 2007 On our last Sovereign cruise 3 weeks ago we asked the cabin stewardess when we first got to our cabins and met her, if she could open the divider and she did so right away. There never seemed to be any question as to whether it was allowed. I hope we can do the same on Enchantment.
FOXTROT Posted August 7, 2007 #10 Share Posted August 7, 2007 They opened them for my kids in May on the Freedom. Slip them a few dollars & they become very accommodating.
