Shopping Canada/New England ??s

A question for those of you who have visited some of the ports on the Canada/New England itinerary: We have enjoyed shopping as part of our activities on other cruises and I wondered if we may find some of the reputable cruise-port jewelry chains in Canada that we have seen in the Caribbean and Alaska? What are some things we should look for while shopping (specialties of the areas we will be visiting?)

I'd really like to know this too! I've been to Bar Harbor, which had some neat little gift shops/art galleries. The gift stores carried the usual Maine goodies like blueberry jellies & jams, stuff decorated with moose & lobsters, pine scented sachets, and hand-made jewlery. What can we find in the other ports?
