Carnival's Calica Reef Snorkel

Has anyone done this excursion before? I am looking for input. We have taught our 4 year old to snorkel in our local pool. Actually, he taught himself to snorkel in our local pool...he was playing last summer with his older brother's snorkel gear at a beach in Florida, and figured it out but I didn't think that he was up to an excursion at the time, so I sat with him on the beach while Dad and big brother went. This summer he has been playing with snorkeling toys, he now jumps in the deep end with a snorkel, mask, and vest, and flippers and takes off across the pool. So I guess in November he will be ready for the real thing! I want a place for beginners, and also where there is a beach so that there are other things to do. Anyone have recommendations or have been on this excursion before?
