C&S Posted May 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2004 We have reserved (but can still cancel) the Duck tour in Ketchikan for our group including two kids, 7 and 11. Now we are wondering whether the Saxman Native Village is a "not to be missed experience." Also, we have seen that some tours only visit the totem park while another available through the cruiseline includes visiting the clan house and a theatical production. We will have two days in Ketchikan, but didn't want to purchase two excursions that include the city tour. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with these tours? Also, can we take a taxi or bus to Saxman? Is the clan house and production available idependent of the cruise tour? Thanks so much for the info. Budget Queen Posted May 18, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Saxman village requires a tour. You need the commentary to get anything out of it. I think kids that young would go for the duck tour more, and also perhaps the lumberjack show??
