Ft Lauderdale Cruise/Airport Transfer

I have heard that the Taxi Scramble can be wild and woolly at the terminal. We were going to just pre-book a Limo. So let's say we are paranoid and don't have a lot of time to spare and we WANT a limo or private transfer, do you have a recommendation or advice on setting it up assuming we don't know our disembarkation schedule. I'm a rookie at this. Humor me. TIA

I agree with previous poster, I always get a porter and tip very nicely. He helps me locate my luggage, gets me through the line quicker (porters have special lines) and finds me a taxi. I have had nothing but good success doing this. Tipping is the key at the terminal.

I agree with a limo not being very cost effective. When we disembarked from the Caribbean Princess last fall, there was a long line of taxis waiting and we had absolutely no problem being on time for our late-morning flight (I think around 11 a.m.) back home. The 5-10 minute trip to the airport cost us $12.00.
