polymerpig Posted August 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2007 If we choose not to do a shore excursion in Sydney is there much to do around the area where the ship will dock? I can find a lot of information about the Halifax harbor area, but not as much for Sydney. Thanks.
sunsetme Posted August 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2007 there's plenty to do as the ship docks right in town. you are near all the transportation, and sydney is very walkable.
MonaCD Posted August 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2007 Been quite a few years since I've been to Sydney but I'm sure you'll find plenty to see locally. Go here http://sydney.capebretonisland.com/ and in the Quick Links drop down menu take a look at the Map of Sydney, looks like it might be useful. CMM Posted August 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2007 I would say there is very little to see walking around this town. If there is an excursion that interest you, I would do that. Sydney is very different from Halifax. Halifax has many options. Sydney is a small quiet port. We walked through a church and a few stores and returned to the ship early. We also did a ship excursion later in the day.
