We finally found luggage that is both durable and lightweight. It is Heyes, and is called the world's lightest luggage. It is hard-sided, made from a very light polycarbonate composite. It is flexible so that it 'gives' when thrown about at an airport or cruise terminal.

I love Briggs and Riley. Lifetime guarantee...repaired or replaced at no charge. DH travels extensively for work. Every piece still going strong after 10+ years. One broken zipper pull and one damaged wheel were replaced. Pricey, but watch for a sale.

My vote goes to Delsey Helium lite suiters... Have garment bag, 29" and 27" suiters and have taken them on 3 cruises +. They have held up more that I ever expected them to. Purchased from e-bags . Guaranteed replacement.

Another Ricardo fan here. We just love them, and they hold up well. Our 2 sons use the JEEP wheeled duffles and they are amazingly strong. We bought the Ricardo pieces on sale at Filenes several years ago, and the JEEP duffles on sale at Kohls.

For cruises I like rolling wardrobes for my tux & suit. Just purchased a Briggs & Riley and love it. Also have trifold Andiamo garment bag that I like alot for shorter trips.
