jschutz Posted August 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2007 If you wish a higher deck or different cabin just call your travel agent or Celebrity and ask. As long as you remain in your same category there should be no problem.
biker1972 Posted August 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2007 Did you book a "guarantee"? If it was a guarantee, you paid a lower price and told the cruiseline that you would take what they gave you. Otherwise you got to choose the cabin. So who "allocated" the cabin to you? Or perhaps you are working with a TA who has reserved a number of cabins, but you should still have choice from the TA's inventory. The lower level interior cabins do provide for a pleasant cruise and are less costly. The higher you go in a ship the higher the price. Get a window or a balcony and pay more. You have about the same amount of space as every other cabin up to the CC cabins that are about 20 square feet larger, and much higher in price. So for you the choice is whether the location is going to be critical. you are near the aft elevators or stairs and are 2 floors below the dining room. Generally noise won't be a problem and you should not feel too much motion. Higher locations exagerate rocking and pitching but with modern stablizers there is little of that. biker1972 Posted August 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2007 As jschutz mentioned you can change cabins in the same class at no additional cost however you are in a cat 12 and there are only 9 other cat 12 cabins and all are on the Continental deck , with 2180 the most midship of these. amagar Posted August 19, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2007 If either of you has any seasickness fears, your cabin is a great place to be. It's the most stable part of the ship. But you will be farther away from the pools, restaurants, etc...
IngramTXcruisers Posted August 23, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2007 I changed from Plaza Deck to Vista Deck (inside cabins) and was charged $40 more on Millennium.
