Aruba Day At the Beach

We just took the bus to Palm Beach. Ask about the bus when you get off of the ship. It's a short walk, costs 1 or 2$ and you can get off at any resort. You will pay for a chair, if you want one. The beach is for everyone.

The bus terminus, which is open aired like a big parking lot, is on the other side of L G Smith Blvd (main drag along south coast) opposite the cruise pier area. It cost $1.25 US per person each way to take the bus to Eagle or Palm Beaches last March. There is a sign at the terminus with the bus routes and schedules.

We spent a day at De Palm Island in Aruba. You will see De Palm busses in town. It is an all-inclusive private island with beach, snorkeling, a small water park, food and drinks included. It was a great day but costs a little more than the 3 or 4 dollars to go to Eagle or Palm beach. I think it was about $45.

We finally tried the De Palm Island day on our last visit. It was great, we all really enjoyed it. Nice beach, great snorkeling, good food and drinks. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Oh, and lots of shade also.

They offered a half day and full day excursion and we opted for the full day since we had visited Aruba before. The half day group didn't get to enjoy it for very long and I don't think it included lunch, where as the full day gave you all day to swim, eat, drink and relax.

Since it is all inclusive does that mean you have to go with the ships excursion? If not then how do you arrange to go on your own? If there is a bus, then does that mean you pay an all inclusive fee when u get there to cover everything? How much? Thanks:)

Gosh, I can't remember what the price was per person, sorry.

It was a ships excursion and we booked it directly through Princess last December.

One thing about ships tours we have found in the past is that when they are offered through the cruise line, you usually are not allowed to book them on your own. They make sure that the cruise line gets their share.
