MERLOTCHAMPAGNE Posted August 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2007 We have booked an evening flight to Arctic Circle while in Fairbanks. Has anyone done this excursion recently??? Thoughts, comments, suggestions. We'll be there mid Sept 07.
Budget Queen Posted August 21, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2007 There are MANY flights out of Fairbanks. Where does this go??? If this is just a round trip flight with no stop going across the "line", then in my opinion, there are better options. Not the most scenic flying in my opinion. Bonus would be northern lights, which isn't all that common, but spectacular to see. If you have time in Fairbanks, consider making an effort and being aware of predictions and weather conditions and getting out to see them. A car is necessary in my opinion. MERLOTCHAMPAGNE Posted August 22, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted August 22, 2007 We do have a visit to a native american village for about an hour. Seems like an interesting option for us. Any idea of temp difference between Fairbanks and Arctic Circle?

Any idea of temp difference between Fairbanks and Arctic Circle? Where does this go??? As I stated there are many "Arctic" options. And in my opinion, if this is a cruisetour tour, it's not the best area. There is little temp difference, it isn't that far. In Sept. you will need a jacket.
