How bad did the Cayman Island & Cozumel get hit

I sail on the Conquest 9-2-07 and was looking to see if anyone had any updated information about these ports of call. I was wondering if they sustained heavy damage? I know they received damage but anything that would keep the Conquest from docking there? I know it is some what up in the air but do you think that Carnival is still planing to go to Jamaica, Cozumel and Cayman's on the 9-2 sailing?

I am no expert, but I don't see Cozumel or Cayman being a problem.

 

Cozumel lost power about 4:15am but not the entire island. Jim said they faired very well. I would imagine by your cruise...this will all be a bad memory!

 

Costa Maya is a different story.

I would say yes that they will make those ports. Dean did some damage to these ports but they should have them up and running before your cruise. I however would check the Carnival web site to make sure that the cruise line has not subsituted ports of call.

It appears that the cruise ship port at Costa Maya took a direct hit.
