I'm confused....When I was on Valor last year, the aft pool was adult only, I think. Did they change it or was it just for that cruise, with lots of kids?

yup no more adult pool on the valor. and I think they are getting rid of them on all carnival ships as well. take a look at this thread

Thank you so much for those pictures. I just told my friends who are in that cabin, to go online to see them.

I think that balcony calls for a party. It seems that at least 20 of my closest friends could fit out there, with room to spare.

Also wanted to ask, it appeared that you did not leave until 545pm that Sunday, did they ever tell you why?

Thanks again, now I'm really keyed up!!!!!!!!

We sailed on the Valor Aug 5th and experienced the same problems as you with the kids and pool. It really was annoying and enough to make me book with Princess in March. My husband and I thought Scarletts was overdone too. We are from NY but were not impressed by all the different courses and I actually felt ill afterward. Dessert selection was pathetic IMHO at Scarletts'. However, my sister in law and her family raved about it. Casino was very smokey but the worst was the Cigar club (obviously) and having to cut through it everytime we were lost (and that was alot:)

I did have a fridge as did both my kids. We were all on the Empress deck ...we had balcony rooms and kids had interior. Valor was a nice ship and the trip was indicative of the money we paid...We loved the itinerary and are so sad how the west carr was affected by Dean:( My adult kids loved the itineraries.

I wont do scarletts again....maybe it was a bad night but it was not impressive. We liked the ship and had cruised on Conquest before so we were failiar with the layout which does take some getting used to and we also found ourselves lost on conquest.

I was also on that cruise and we had the other corner balcony 7445. We loved the wrap around balcony, BUT we also had people through things off the back of the ship and it all landed on our balcony!! We had a great cruise though, with the exception of the no adult pool area though.

Hi I saw your post with pics and replied to the other thread. We had some kid throw an ice cream cone on our balcony. We could hear them laughing. I yelled at them. I should of found them and dragged them by the scruff to security or the parents. We still love that cabin tho.

Did you ever find out why someone was evaced on Saturday? That helicopter was so close to us the wind was almost blowing us off. We got some great pictures and sure hope whoever was ill is ok.

Did you notice if the dining room had tables for 2? And if so, where were they located in the dining room? Thanks!

I was not too impressed with the locations of the ones I saw - all in the main aisles, lot of traffic.

Did you notice all the signs and stuff on the cabin doors?

WELCOME BACK:) how was the jazz/ cigar bar, was it decent size, and how busy was it?

Never crowded, but the band was not that great. I sat in there for a few cigars at different times, plenty of room and great bar service! We always got funny looks and gestures from the people walking thru or trying to find a shortcut thru the ship that never noticed it was A CIGAR BAR!!!! But it has good ventilation.

we also had ice cream on our balcony one day, never saw who did it though. little ba$tards

as far as the person who got air lifted off, I heard it was also an apendicites (spelling) brought on by falling down some stars by pool.

who knows what happend, but I have some video from my balcony of it :) probably not as good as yours since you were right underneath it :)

We sailed with 3 other couples and we are all pranksters...lol!!! I had a nice little surprise they hid in my carryon and thankfully found it before we got to the airport. Wow would I have been embarrassed! We had a great time and plan to cruise with them again next year. Wanna cruise with us?....lol!!!
