RQINFL Posted August 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2007 Are there any companies that offer jeep tours other than through the ship? Thanks.
Iwant2cruise! Posted September 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2007 Yes, we did one 2 years ago. I can't remember the name of the operator. All I did was google it and it came up. We wanted to hit Rum Point (definite) and we wound up going to the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory (yum...got hooked on those things), Pedro's Castle and then Rum Point. It was a great day. If I find the name of the operator, I'll let you know...they were really good! Karen
cukoobananas Posted September 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2007 We decided to just rent our own jeep and hit the rum cake factory and Rum Point on our own. The cost of the Jeep was $103 and it encluded my driving permit and insurance.
Jayayeff Posted September 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2007 I'm thinking of doing this too after receiving a reply from the tour operator saying they are fully booked for Jeep tours the day we are docked in Grand Cayman. How is the drive from Georgetown to Rum Point and did you stop off at any other places along the way? Also how much time does the drive back, returning the hire car, getting back to tender drop-off point take??? Thanks
