Does anyone know how early Mamitas Beach Club opens in the morning. Our ship docks at 7 and I don't want to tick them off by arriving too early.Thanks

Opens 9am to 6pm. Remember you're on Roo time so don't be surprised if no one shows until 9:15 or so. Very nice beach, enjoy!

I was also thinking about going there on our cruise 9-12-2007 on the Facination. Can you tell me about the beach there and are there in good restaurants around there. We were looking for a nice beach day. Maybe renting some chairs and unbrellas. Is it close to the shopping area too??

The beach was gorgeous pre-hurricane, should still be fine. Shopping close on Fifth Ave. Lots of great choices for resturants close

Are you docking in Calica or in Cozumel and taking the ferry over?

So where is Mamitas(all i see is hotels on the map)??

I'm guessing you'll moor at the Cruise dock south of town or tender to the the ferry terminal in town.

 

Mamitas is right around #8 on that map, 28th and 5th street or so on the beach.

This place looks amazing. Can you tell me if there is an entrance fee or chair rental? Just want to be prepared.

Hey guys,

 

Just got back from the Fascination four day cruise. I went to Mamitas on Wednesday. The beach was beatiful and the water was very clear and clean. We rented a beach bed for 30.00 dollars and it had a tarp cover on it. There was a beach restaurant and bar there too. The chips and gauamole was good. The restrooms were clean and the service was excellent. There was also a massage area on the beach I wanna say it was 30.00 for 30 minutes and 50.00 for 60 minutes.

 

We docked in Calica and there were 5 of us so we asked a van driver to take us to Mamitas. I think it cost us 30.00 and that was with a tip. Later we took a cab from the beach to the shopping area and I think that was like 5.00 with a tip. I really enjoyed Playa Del Carmen and the shopping area was alot of fun. Remember to haggle on the price and they'll come down.
