"Unofficially" PVP sez Legend to Progresso

Hope it's true, finally tracked down Carnival PVP this afternoon.

 

Told her based on the info on Port Canv. site as to rerouting of Glory thru Dec. dates; I was probably going to switch from the Legend to the Glory.

 

She said to sit tight..."unofficially" it appears as thought Progresso would be the sub for Costa Maya.

 

When I indicated that Key West or Roatan would be a deal breaker; she assured me they weren't in the running.

 

Hope she's right:D always wanted to see Chichen Itza!

 

She further stated they're trying to work through one port at a time; long term.

We are cruising the Legend in April. I hope Costa Maya is welcoming tourist by then but if not I hope we go to Progresso also. The one thing our DS wanted to do is the ruins!

We are on the Lengend leaving September 9th and the PVP told me that Legend will be going to Roatan.

We are leaving 09/16 on the Legend too...but I really did not like Progresso at all in May when we were there. Dirty hot busses bring you to a dirty smelly shopping area. Was not impressed at all. In fact I felt safer in Ocho Rios!:)

I have also been trying to find out what they will substitute for Costa Maya. I sent an email to Carnival and the response I got today was just to let me know that I should call and speak with a PVP at Carnival closer to the departure date to see if they could let me know where we are going. All the research done so far indicates that it will be Progresso or Roatan. If anybody gets any more defnitive info, please post. Thanks!

She did verify thru end of Sept - Rotan, then it "should" change

 

I was interested in Dec.;)

 

i just think she didn't want us 'jumping ship' yet to the Glory lol...we shall see.

hmmm (worse than Nassau?)...we hope to be on a 2-1/2 bus ride to see the Mayan site, coincidently DS is studying it now in Social Studies - it's a sure sign ha
