JessH Posted September 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2007 Just booked the liberty over Christmas, was wondering if Santa Clause is on the ship?
jleq Posted September 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2007 Quite often "the Big Guy" makes a one-day top in the Caribbean...
Bemidji Ty Posted September 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2007 A couple of years ago, we were on a cruise just after X-mas and Santa was on board taking a vacation. He was perfect. He had the hair, the beard, the belly, and he always wore red. He never came out of character. He participated in many of the ship's activities - always in character. What fun. I really believe it was him.

LHP Posted September 2, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 2, 2007 I have only been on one ship on "the day" and that was the Fantasy. They had a wonderful Christmas show complete with the "big guy" himself. Big Tex did a wonderful job of telling a Christmas story while he sat in a big easychair by the fireplace (complete with stockings) by a huge Christmas tree. Santa was Lee (the lead singer from Dakota that was performing on the ship). The ACD, Social Hosts and dancers all came in double file from the upstairs level down the main stairs with candles into a darkened theater while singing Silent Night. It was really a nice touch! All of this was Christmas Eve night. Following that, you could see many families gathering with their gifts in different locations around the ship. The Library, The Forum Lounge, etc to have some :family time:!
