Brilliance cabins near the bump

Recommended Posts

HI!

I asked this on the cabin selection board but haven't had much input so am wondering if anyone here has been in the cabins such as 8088 that sit right in the inside corner. It's huge but we're afraid it could be to closed in. Any help is appreciated.

We were in #9092. We loved the location! Easy access to the elevator and stairs. We did not have to walk down a long hallway to get to our stateroom. There was very little noise. One night we heard some music drifting up from the Centrum but it ended shortly after we entered the stateroom so it was not a problem. The balcony was huge! We had 2 lounge chairs, 2 chairs, and 2 tables on the balcony and still had plenty of room left over! We did not feel closed in at all! We favored the aft view and we could stand out by the railing and see back to the aft with no interference - of course - everyone could see us if they were looking our way - but - who cares. When we wanted privacy - we stepped back. Our vision forward was somewhat limited but again - it was not a problem for us. Having the large balcony was worth that sacrifice.

Had 9076 and loved it, 9092 and loved it, and booked 9076 again on the Jewel. Love the balconies on these cabins, they are larger than most, but 9078 and 9092 (and 8088) have bigger balconies than 9076 and 9094. The balconies are shaded by the overhang, but we prefer that. There is some sun on the balconies, just not as much as there is on the side balconies.

However, if you don't care about the sun, the location of these cabins is perfect!

Hi Stretch- you're right, gotta watch out for those barcrawling turtles :D

Our Jewel cruise leaves from Boston on October 28th, goes to San Juan, Curaçao and Aruba (can you say "AAY PARANDA"?

Best to Carol.

We leave early Saturday (1 or 2am) to drive to FL for my mother's 90th birthday. Kids and grandkids will be with us for her party and then we will spend about a week at WDW and Universal. (We leave just before Karen and Sam arrive :( )

Stretch, nice to see you on the boards! Please say HI to Carol.

Went on Voyager in May, looked for turtles, guess the barcrawlers haven't made it onboard that ship!

Probably will need another vacation when we get back from WDW - bringing the kids and grandkids. YIKES!~

Have a great weekend!

Rita
