sherry7 Posted September 19, 2007 #51 Share Posted September 19, 2007 Don't forget the birth control people!!! Very, very important!!! Lol, that reminds me of a Disney Cruise Line commercial from a couple of years ago. A woman, her young daughter, and baby are on an elevator. The little girl is telling someone all about their vacation last year on a Disney cruise ship, saying about all the fun she had. Then she points at the baby and says, "And this is my little brother. Mommy calls him our little souvinier."
Tasha999 Posted September 19, 2007 #52 Share Posted September 19, 2007 Duct Tape  Absolutely! On our August 11, 2007 LOS cruise, the airline ripped one of our suitecases from Newark to Miami, and we bought duct tape as soon as we arrived! I always bring a large tote that folds flat in the suitcase, as I have more items comming home than going. Tasha
Avidcruiser Posted September 19, 2007 #53 Share Posted September 19, 2007 The best thing I brought on our last cruise that I had never brought before was disposable bathroom cups for brushing teeth. Now I know I always have a clean cup! Also for the person who asked about a fan - we always bring a small fan that I bought at Walmart - I think it's O2 brand or something like that. It either plugs in or uses batteries. Love it! Also brought a power strip this time and I don't know how I lived without it before! Karen

Suzwed Posted September 27, 2007 #56 Share Posted September 27, 2007 Thanks for the great packing tips! There will be four of us in our cabin..DH and two teenage girls. I am looking for any tips that will help us stay organized/make more room in the cabin! I like the over the door shoe holder for toiletries, etc in the bathroom, but do I also need one in the closet for shoes? Also, someone mentioned bungee cords to keep balcony door open....does it not stay open, or this is just in case of a malfunction? I'd welcome any other room saving tips for three women and a man in one cabin! Thanks!

Sugar*Magnolia Posted October 22, 2007 #59 Share Posted October 22, 2007 Just think of an alligators jaws or if you are a child of the 60's a roach clip. Im just seeing this post...LMAO!! *smiles* Great description..I think i got it now even tho I was first born in the 60s! Thanks a Bunch! Scrolling down I just reread about bungee cords to hold balcony door opened. DH and I have sailed numerous times (all sails actually) in balcony rooms..if you leave the door opened (RCCL ships anyway)- your air conditioning will stop, your ceiling will be dripping con densation into your room and onto your things.......NOT a good idea....
