Carnival Freedom Riviera Deck?

Okay, so this is only my second cruise, so I'm still really not sure how this whole thing works. Last time we booked a GTY and got the Upper Deck.

I used to think that because of motion sickness, the lower you went, the closer to the water you were; therefore, there would be more likelyhood of you feeling nauseated.

Is it true that the lower you go, the less motion sickness you feel?

I'm sailing Carnival Freedom Feb 23rd. 2008, but am still trying to pick a stateroom. We're planning to book an inside 4A (which is on the 1st deck), because we can only afford that right now! Is there anything bad about the Riviera deck? Any inside cabin number specifically we should look into? I think I looked at 1255 just because it was close to an elevator, but I really don't care. As long as it's not noisy, and the option of motion sickness isn't there, I should be alright.

PLEASE help if you can. Thank you!

have you looked into 2465 or 2462 which are 1As and feature two huge windows?

See if either of those cabins are available-- of so grab one and make decisions later to keep it or not.

Yes, it is true.. the lower you are the less motion you feel
