Hi--We are first time Alaska cruisers. We will be on the Island Princess the week of July 3. We fly into Anchorage and out of VanCouver. Any suggestions on the best mode of transportation from the airport to the port in Whittier. At the end of the cruise, we are spending a day in VanCouver at LeSoleilHotel. Any idea how far this is from the VC airport and how to get there? Thanks

This will take you to the transportation site for YVR. Remember, the prices are CAD, so you will have to convert to US $$, if you are from the US.

Currently taxi $26/CAD - $19/USD
Limo $50/CAD - $36/USD

These prices are approximate, inclusive of taxes, but not gratuity.

I've never looked up Anchorage, but there are a few wonderful people on these boards who, I am sure, will give great advise.

Are you flying into Anchorage the day of the cruise??? If so you are probably going to be limited to a cruise transfer. If coming in earlier- highly recommended, you have the train option/ both regular run and the cruise contracted train, cruise bus, independent bus, car rental.
