Check-in times for TP

On the information I have it says Check-in from 1pm-4pm. I'm assuming since the ship does not leave port until late the next afternoon that we can check in after 4pm? I just want to verify - do i need to contact Princess to let them know we may check in after 4pm? Thank you.

Our Air Tahiti Nui flight didn't arrive in Papeete until 6:30pm and we didn't get to the ship until around 8pm. No problems checking in. Because of the intimacy pf the ship you check-in (quickly) under a tent on the dock and then walk right on-aboard the ship.

We just came back and on both of our cruises, Princess brought people in on the flight that arrives in Tahiti at 9:20 PM. On the first cruise, the flights were delayed 3 hours, and we sat on our balcony and watched people being checked in after midnight.

You should have no problem whatsoever checking in after 4:30 P.M. People are arriving and leaving at all hours.
