How much for a 5 day cruise

How much will they put for a hold on our debit card. It will be 5 people for 5 days. I wanted to put down $500 in travelers checks, and then use my debit card for the rest. Will they let me do that?

Keep in mind that unless you prepay your tips, $250 will be automatically billed to your S & S account. 5 people - $10 a day - 5 days.

They will probably take your debit card up front, and then you can just go to the purser's desk and pay down the accounts with your travelers checks.

 

Personally, I dont see the difference, why pull the money out of your account with the debit card to purchase traveler's checks?

I have a $500 hold per day on my debit card. I have already purchased the traveler's checks. I am keeping in mind the tips. We don't drink hardly at all, rarely gamble, so other than pics and a few trinkets onboard, our sign and sail should not be more than a few hundred bucks. I just like the idea of setting a budget and knowing exactly how much money I am spending. Thanks.
