Burney555 Posted September 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2007 This may be a stupid question.... Wait for it!!!! We are on the Crown Princess Oct 27th until Nov 10th (2 B2B Cruises). When we get to San Juan after our 1st week, is this treated as a normal stop (i.e. Can we move freely around the ship / port) or are there restrictions on our movements??? Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted September 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2007 You will receive a letter in your cabin the last night or so of the first cruise detailing exactly what you should do, because it is different in different ports. However, since you'll be in PR, part of the US, you will have to go through immigration, which you can do by yourselves at anytime during disembarkation, but you will be unable to reboard until the next cruise's passengers begin to board (11:30 to 12:00 or so). If you simply want to stay on the ship that day, you will meet at Passenger Services at a certain time (stated in the letter), disembark the ship with other B2Bers to go through immigration and then immediately reboard. This allows you back on the ship right away, as opposed to going by yourselves. On the ship, certain areas will be closed...the fitness center, for one, and the buffet usually closes down for a couple of hours. Some pools are closed and it is not unusual for areas like the library, internet cafe and some public restrooms to be closed for a couple of hours for a disinfecting cleaning. If you want to use the a laundry room, make sure you notify (usually) the cabin steward in that area to make sure it is unlocked.
