Explorer Suite Passengers

Just wanted to see if there are any recent Explorer Suite passengers. We are sailing in a little over 2 weeks and we are getting very excited. Can you confirm if the Suite Perks were being done and if you received an email from the Concierge?

I would love to know if the couches and carpets are stained looking also. There seems to have been a lot of people commenting on that.

Just came off the Explorer 9/2 - 9/9/07. Not in Suite just Junior Suite, but Concierge benefits as Diamond member. The concierge is Kenny. He was ill on the beginning of our cruise so there were no letters with the Concierge Club keys. But he sent apology letters later on in the week -- so I'm sure you'll get one. On our cruise they opened up a second concierge club for happy hours in the Cloud Nine (14th floor) due to # of suite and diamond members onboard.

Yes. I had read about the suite perks but hadn't seen any posts from people who had traveled on Explorer. Just wanted to know what to expect.

The Explorer always had your choice of pillows so thats nothing new, as far as the free internet or big screen flat TV's we were told in June certain things would be done in dry dock next time such as internet access as the Explorer is not set up for that like the new Freedom class is. CL is the same of course. Someone reported the OS now had a small coffee pot in it. I'll see in a few weeks what changes if any have been made. Concierge is Ricky and Allen is in Cloud Nine if they open it for overflow for your cruise. Yes, Ricky will send you an email if you are in Grand Suite and up before your cruise:)

Thanks. We're in an Owner's Suite so it's good to know. We haven't cruised since 04 on the Mariner and this time we're bringing our daughter and her boyfriend who have never cruised before. So we're all really looking forward to this cruise.
