My wife & I were on Celebrity!s Galaxy & betwen the two of us we had six glasses of champagne: 8 glasses of wine 3 Yellow birds, 6 bottles of Grolsh beer, 6 cans of Miller High & 4 draught beers at Applebees. My bar bill was $0.00.We are elite members so we had 3 parties & Celebrity Gives champagne when you come on board. The Coast Guard forced the ship to leave stranding 300 some passenger. The asst. Cd told me to put the beer in his cart & the celebrity would pay for it & if we went somewhere for food or drink to get a receipt. The Capt told us there would be 1 hour open bar before !st & 2nd sitting. We had signed up for casual dining so we went to both open bar.

Just saw this on a different forum and was surprised how low people's bills were. Mine is usually around $900 for the two of us. As we like to drink on vacation. (a lot)

If you can remember...you didn't have a good time....LOL:cool:

I usually don't drink much when I'm on vacation at the US, because drinks are expensive over there.

HOWEVER... with the USD being so extremely cheap right now... I might change that.

Cocktails during the cruise and wine tastings during food & wine festival at WDW... I think I'll need to order more USD at the bank, for just in case. And since they are so cheap now, whatever is left over will serve well on another trip!

thanks to all for your informative answers. It seems as if we either have the drinkers or we don't, not to many in the middle. It's all good either way, as long as everyone enjoys their cruise in their own special way. I think I'm going to smuggle some booze on board for my next cruise.

$4200.00.... for just me... lol

Of course, about $3000 of that was the casino...

Jstbuch, i was too ashamed to put mine on here till i saw yours lol.Just come off the Liberty 6 dayer there were 6 of us, tho 2 were under 21. My bill for the 6 of us excursions casino and bar was $5200. The excursions wernt the most expensive ones either. So looks like the casino and bar came out winners.

  • 4 years later...

I am guessing our bill for drinks on a 7 day is about $700 but most of that is DH with a few for me ( I am a lightweight) and soda for DS.

Irony is that we always buy alcohol to take home with us and barely drink it at home. When I do have a drink at home I usually put it in my DoD Carnival cup and call it "Having a cruise moment" :p

WOW!!! I stopped reading at page 3...

I don't understand how you guys can have such a high sign and sail bill! For both of us, we paid no more than $50. We do drink but if we are on a vacation, we rather to remember it and enjoy it without hangovers! LOL!

Mine (and only mine) on a 7 day cruise is usually around $400. GF's is usually around $350-450 depending on how much wine she buys by the bottle in the dining room. I keep saying that it is high time that Carnival offers a drink card to people that aren't traveling in larger groups. I would love to know what I am paying up front, that is the one thing about cruising on Carnival that may drive me away to another cruise line. I HATE having to think about it while I am supposed to be enjoying myself on the cruise.

The Beards at Carnival need to figure this out. It is sickening how a $799 pp cabin for a one week cruise cost more than double that by the time you add everything else on. I would be a lot better paying it if I knew up front how much it was going to cost for everything.
