People keep trying to bring ya'll down on the other thread, Im not gonna let it get to me! 43 days and counting! We have our roll call meet and greet set up already and everything.:D :D

 

which thread? i wonder if it's the one where i so aptly pointed out that a ship which wins the coveted eagle award so many years in a row can't exactly "suck" in service.

On here a couple posters didn't like it but over on the RC board they were really bashing the Miracle. :(

well, the eagle award is an "industry" award isn't it? it's not a CCL award, right?

 

so, they can't possibly say that miracle is a bad ship w/ a straight face in light of this, no?

 

OH WAIT...maybe they shld be the arbitors of which ship receives this award. they obviously know more than those in the industry.:rolleyes:

People hate on what they do not understand. :rolleyes: We dont want haters on our cruises anyways. ;) :p Im already looking at another Miracle cruise for next Dec...and I havent even sailed her yet!:D

Only about 1-2% of cruisers ever go on Cruise critic and the majority of folks who have sailed her from this site will tell you that she is a fabulous ship and one of the best in the fleet.

Yeah I think it's industry wide. Ask Craig, he will know for sure.

 

Go over and read the thread TC, you can't believe what some of them said about the ship.

Only about 1-2% of cruisers ever go on Cruise critic and the majority of folks who have sailed her from this site will tell you that she is a fabulous ship and one of the best in the fleet.

 

Thats exactly why I think its HILARIOUS when people freak out about "bad reviews" or when there arent many reviews. Also another reason why I usually just stalk and dont get into it with people or most posts. People act like CC is the bible (or torah if you will - LOL) of all cruises. Id be lying if I said I didnt get awesome tips and information from peeping around on these threads...but Im not gonna let what a couple people say dictate how I go into a vacation. Well, other then you guys saying how awesome it is! ;) :D

I learned a lot from coming on here. I kept asking a ton of questions. Last year I took a 2night CTN on the Legend (sister ship to the Miracle) and I must have asked a few hundred questions just for a 2 night cruise....LOL!!!!

 

There are going to be nasty people and complainers no matter if it's a msg board or in real life. I try not to pay attention to the sour people. I know that no matter what ship/cruise line I go on, I WILL have a great time. I can almost guarantee that.

i'll never forget it was my first ccl cruise, not my first cruise, but first ccl one...

anyway, i was a lurker on here long before i registered

i read how the ship i was about to go on (imagination) had a putred (sp?) throw up smell in the lido deck restaurant. it was so wretched apparently, that the OP cldn't eat in there once all week. bla, blah, blah, blah, blah...

 

i was so worried. i asked CCL if there was a reported problem. i went on the cruise, of course...

 

NEVER smelled a thing, lmao

 

and from that day forward, i have never again taken a review with anything more than a grain of salt.

YUP! We originally had some people that were gonna go with but everyone backed out. Their loss! We always say all we need is each other and the ocean and we will be great. Having a casino cant really hurt either. ;)

I agree, 100 percent. when i went on Victory there was a lot of bad stuff out there about it beening a drity ship, and bedbugs. It had me going. for a while I thought maybe I should have booked another ship. Boy was I wrong. I had a great time, loved the ship.

i have noticed in life and on cruise attuide is 100% of everything. i have really noticed at work the people that complain about everything, negitive, ect. no matter what. i am a supervisor of 15 people. for instance i buy food for the group. pizza, chicken dounuts whatever. most say thanks for doing that for us. always same persons complain about what ever you get. funny thing they are first to eat usually 3 plate fulls, never help clean up after, never help set up, and never say thanks! some people are just plain nasty, nothing is ever good enough. for me i went on miricle couple years ago, victory last year miricle again Nov 7th 2007. taking my 80 year old parents. my mom is looking forward to 8 days of not cooking cleaning ect. which she has never had. i know we are going to have great time. might be couple horrible things go wrong like have to wait 5 min in line some where, but i think we will survive that.

Did you do the Victory out of NY on the Canada sailing or out of Florida? It seems that most of the bad reviews come out of the sailings from NY.

So these people don't want to cruise Carnival again- GOOD! That way I will never have to put up with them. A lot of your vacation is attitude, if you are looking to have a bad time you will. We , however, are looking forward to having a great time.

We sailed the Miracle September, 2006 out of Tampa. This is a VERY nice ship. Excellent crew, wonderful food, great entertainment. NOTHING negative to say about this cruise. We would sail Miracle again in a heartbeat. To all of you who are anxiously awaiting your Miracle cruise - you will not be disappointed!

looking at the pics of cabins (I'm in an extended balcony), there's this little table in front of the sofa. Is this thing bolted down or can it be moved? I can just see me getting up during the night and crashing into it! :eek:

it's weighted but moveable........In our Triumph cabin the floor cot was put in it's place for the evening.

9 days before we go on the Miracle. We will celebrate or 48th anniversary and are looking forward to it We will be sailing with 9 couples, friends of ours. We have sailed on the Legend out of Port Everglades a few years ago with an obstructed view OV behind lifeboats, that was a enjoyable trip. We were seated with 3 other older couples (WW II vets) and had a ball.
