All Things Miracle!!!!

Ah, OK. I thought they sailed on the 20th. Probably just got my dates wrong. Wouldn't be the 1st time!

liv, yes, I've suffered from motion sickness my entire life. It's why I insist on driving everywhere. I'm not nearly so bad as I was when I was younger, thankfully!

I haven't actually hurled, yet, on a ship. But when you're naseauted, you usually would prefer that to the horrible queasiness.

Took Dramamine on my first couple cruises (and we had about 14' seas on that first cruise and Jubilee was a pretty small ship). Didn't have any issues at all on Fantasy, either time (took preventative Dramamine plus wrist bands on 2nd Fantasy). Last year, on Elation, it hit me after lunch on our first day (at sea) and it wasn't even rough out. I've read other reviews about people on Elation feeling a lot of motion in not-rough seas. I took my drugs, went and found a window seat along the Promenade, semi-dozed for a couple of hours and was better.

I've never missed a meal, yet! :D

I think having a balcony will help. And now I know about Ginger tablets. I spend as little time as possible in the cabin, but it will be nice to be able to step out the door and get that fresh air without having to get dressed as quickly as possible and run up to a deck to get outside!

Did you read my post on this thread about the Relief Band? I am so happy with this cure for seasickness without side effects!! It was well worth the $90 I paid for it. Ginger pills don't do a thing for me, and the other drugs put me to sleep or make me dizzy. I love the Relief Band!

Another vote for the relief band from another queasy prone cruiser, I don't need anything else.

I just got back from putting fresh batteries in it in case storm Noel decides to interfere with my Miracle cruise tomorrow.

Aren't they great?? I was skeptical that it would really work, but thrilled to find out that it worked VERY well. I hope you have smooth sailing and a wonderful week. I sure wish I was boarding her with you!!

I never had that issue so I guess I'm fortunate. Perhaps if you watched my latest youtube find...you could convince yourself that there's no way it would be "that bad" ;)

That first cruise, we tendered over to Playa del Carmen and took an all-day trip to Tulum. The ferry back over to Cozumel where the ship was docked? OMG! It took forever because we were moving more vertically than forward! They started handing out the little bags and I was praying that no one needed one, because if they did, it was going to be all over. Literally!

I keep asking people why I love cruising so much when a) I don't even like water (can barely swim); b) I suffer from motion sickness; c) I hate crowds; and d) I tend to be claustrophic!

But I love to cruise! Go figure. :)

We did the same thing on our first cruise and had the same ferry/tender boat experience! Loved Tulum, but hated the trip over! I am so glad I finally found the Relief Band. This thing works, and you NEED to get one!

I don't want to spend the money! That $85 would give me at least 20 minutes recreation in the casino! :p

I'm switching from Dramamine to Bonine (I've read that most don't get so drowsy) and I'm adding the Ginger tablets.

And as I noted, I didn't have any problems at all on the Fantasy, so I was surprised when it hit me last cruise, being Elation is a sister ship and it was pretty calm.

liv: not going to watch your video!

You know, I actually had another Miracle question in mind and it vanished as I was typing. Don't you hate it when that happens?

Looks like that would be a blast :D

Have to put that one on the "must do" list. Guess if it's not listed in the capers one could hold there own?:D

Looking forward to it!

Part of what makes my upcoming Miracle cruise so exciting is that it's a "special" cruise. So everything's a bit of a mystery.

OK, it really isn't mysterious, but you know what I mean. No one's else's ports will match ours. No one else's capers will match ours.

We're Special! :D

Was there a B/B partae?

The lido deck party was the Night in St Maarten....it had an 11:30 buffet with games and things at 11:45....it was one of our rain nights. We were up there at 10:30 when they were setting it up but had and early excursion in the am with the boys so we decided not to wait up. It is not listed as a Beer and Bathrobe party.

Hmmm...interesting

I've seen this mentioned several times and one poster did have pics of it and said it was listed in the capers...perhaps a certain CD or certain sailing thing.

Will most definitely have to have one...even if it's not ship sponsored lol.

Thanks for the info.

For our last Miracle it was specific.......Beer and Bathrobes.......and friends went, not to mention they had clips promoting the DVD..............I saw nothing this time for the DVD promotion.

I'm just not seeing it here(you should see the stack of things I want to get scanned) I could just be missing it.

Hmmm....DVD huh...that could be incriminating

I can imagine. No worries...If it's not listed...we'll have our own. I'm sure there are some that will be interested even if it's not officially sponsored :D
