Quick question about the Legends Performance. Is this adults only? My 13yr old son would probably love to participate (in an appropriate role).

I think they want you to be 18 or older. On the other hand, on my Miracle sailing a couple weeks ago, one of the Legends performers was a young girl (I'm guessing 13, give or take a year or two). On the gripping hand, she was the only one who auditioned for that particular role -- I'm not sure they would have let her do it had any adult tried out. YMMV.

Hi Fellow Miracle Cruisers...we sail in August, and have a 14 year old who LOVES video games, and has loved the Carnival arcades on ALL our cruises. Can anyone shed any light on the details of the Arcade on Miracle? I've heard that while at sea, there are "free hours" of play..T/F? Are the machines still token or quarter operated or both? Or can you swipe your S&S card?

Thanks so much in advance!

Regards...Matt

This is a fleetwide show that is cast during Karaoke. You basically audition to sing one of a handful of roles, and are given the song to sing (on an mp3 player) to practice, costumes, the whole deal. At the end, you are given a "cast picture", along with a DVD of the performance. It' a lot of fun, and I highly recommend doing it at least once. I participated on the Valor in February of 07, and unless they change the songs up a bit, I don't think i'll be doing so again.

no free play on any cruise I been on. Free ninetendo- xbox time is in the camps at certain times only.

You can swipe a card-- so for your kids-- better be careful with that- although there is a 20.00 per day limit-- a 7 day cruise could rack up some major arcade play.

Hi,

No, currently the Miracle does not have an outdoor large screen tv for movies. However, thru the cruise they do play a couple of movies on a screen in the Mad Hatter's lounge. The Miracle went into dry dock last spring but an outdoor one wasn't added. It may be the next time she dry docks though.

Hi Sandi! I know I know I haven't been on here to help answer questions in awhile! Lolol...I'll try to help more...promise :D For all of you that haven't seen it or used it, here's the link to our cruise website about the Miracle. It's got lots of great tips, lists, etc. We'll planning on updating it over the next year to include lots of other things about other ships, ports, etc.

I guess I'm the only cruiser out there who is not the least bit interested in having a movie screen on deck. Geez, I sit on my butt and watch tv enough as it is! Why would I spend all that money and then sit around on a cruise ship watching movies?

Hey, maybe that's a good thing after all! If everyone is watching movies at night, then I can get good seats for the shows and the casino might not be so full and it will be easier to get my favorite bartender's attention in whatever is my favorite lounge of the week!

:p

I never saw a roof over a pool! Where was that? Main pool area? I spent all my time at the aft pool.

I was thrilled when I saw the sailing to Bermuda in April 2009 (right after tax season, what a way to recuperate!), but don't like what I'm reading about the weather that early in the year. I've been wanting to sail to Bermuda for ages, but it's SO expensive during the middle of the summer. I really wish Carnival would add some Norfolk-Bermuda sailings. That would be so great, for me at least!

One of our 12/17 Roll Call members just got back from their 2nd consecutive Miracle cruise. Did the Eastern this time and said it was great. Again!

Yes, it's over the main pool but if they don't use it, it's hard to really see it cause it's hidden. We spent all our time at the aft pool as well. It was very quiet back there and it was adults only.

You know, when we were on the ship, it rained a couple of days and I don't remember ever seeing the dome used.

Yeah Sandi, we kept seeing cruises we were interested in and so we just kept on booking them......lolol......we still have to find another one for Dec. 2009 and then we're trying to decide where we want to go in 2010.

Our next Miracle cruise is coming up shortly and we're sooooo excited! We're ready for a vacation and time is going so slow!!

We are going 4/17 to Bermuda. I will let you know what it is like when we get back. I expect the weather to be cool with maybe some 70 degrees in Bermuda. I expect it to be kinda like a New York to Canada type cruise.

That is why I was wondering about the dome. That way we can still have pool fun even if we have April Showers. I was on the Legend out of New York on an October cruise and they had the dome over the pool. It was cold out and a lot or rain. We had fun.

Hi Alan, I'm glad you liked the site so much. We get emails every day from people who have found the site and used it. And yes, we all totally understand the excitement being almost too much to bear! I have just a little over a month before our next cruise and the excitement level is growing by the day!

I'm right there with ya! I actually did a 7-day cruise out of Norfolk to Bermuda in 2002 on the Triumph, and it was fantastic. I would do it again in a heartbeat, especially since my husband and I weren't together back then, and I would love for him to experience it. Being from Virginia, it just doesn't make sense to us to go up to New York and then sail down to Bermuda, plus the sailing out of NY is only a 6-day cruise. Still, I'm glad Carnival is still doing some cruises to Bermuda, but something out of Norfolk or Charleston would be great as far as we're concerned.

We are from PA, what is parking like at the Port of NY. I read on Carnival's site that it is $24/day to park? WOW! Is there a cheaper way to do it? I read somewhere that it's actually cheaper to pay the monthly rate of $180.

Thanks for the info.
