Jen -- fabulous review.

Question about debarkation. Did you have priority debarkation being a Diamond? Was the wait still an hour in line? Was that because you went back to the cabin for your luggage?

DH is a nutbug about dibarkation and opens the dining room at 6:30 AM. We then go to the Platinium/Diamond lounge and wait until our color is called and then scurry off with our carryons. We have a 7 or 8 hour drive back to SC. We are on FOS in Feb. Thanks.

Hi there,

We could have gotten the white tags, but we feared that if we didn't want to get up that early, our bags would be floating on a carousel .... for up to an hour ... just waiting for us to find it. We didn't want to be in that position, so we got the 3rd color to be called. And we still waited an hour.

My parents disembarked with the first color to be called and yes, their wait to see their luggage was an hour as well. With 4200 people ... the line will be an hour (maybe more) no matter what time you go, it seemed.

Just finished reading. It was wonderful and made me want to sail on a Freedom class ship very soon. I have to wait until April 2009. Don't you feel sorry for me?

I LOVE Mustard.:)

You'll be cruising soon enough! The time will fly by

Wonderful job on the review!! It was so nice to have all the pictures to go along with it. Adding the menus/food photos was a great addition.

I agree RCI needs to step up and take care of misbehaving guests, including kids- why have the code of conduct if your not going to enforce it. We had a similar experience on another cruise line with over 900 people from a So. American country, they just took over the ship, even kids in the casino at the slot machines. never did return to that cruise line...

Thanks for sharing such an extensive review.

Bev

Thank you so much :)

I forwarded my review to Customer Service and Crown and Anchor. Hopefully someone will be able to freaking manage the freaking out of control kids! It was too rampant not to notice!

:D

Thanks for reading the entire thing. I hope you stopped for a beverage and snack! ha ha

Jen - Have I told you lately how freaking awesome you are????? Your review was incredible!!!!!! :D

P.S. The White dress with the orange flowers looked spectacular on you!

You GO girlfriend!!!!!:)

Awww thank you :)

If there is one thing I learned from the cruise ...

.... never underestimate the power of 8 lemon drop martini's and a skinny dress!

You really can't do this. And, if you can, you shouldn't do this. The Diamond Lounge is very crowded as it is without guests. I'm afraid C&A is going to change the requirements for Diamond and D+ very soon. Many people won't like what they may do. :(

We didn't think you could do this, but our consierge didn't have any issue with it. And after 6pm, the lounge emptied somewhat because people left for dinner :)

I wasn't able to link into any of the videos except the Liberty when you arrived at the ship. The screen kept going blank. :(

Perhaps I'll put the URL in the review link as well. I have to ammend it anyhow because .....

(insert dramatic music)

.... I actually forgot a detail!

Yep.

The casino is nonsmoking on formal nights. And if you do see somone breaking the rules, you can tell them to knock it off. Or a member of the staff certainly will! :)

Thank you Carol! :)

I'm sorry that I didn't have any purse/toilet snafoo's on this trip. I would have loved to claim that I'm turning into Carol .... :D

If you want, I'll call your boss and make them read it too. Then they'll be stuck till like ..... dinnertime-ish ... lol, then you can take a nap after lunch :)

To be a liberty lunitik ..... wow .... its an honor to be a part of that down to earth - fun loving group! There's no telling where they'll turn up next! And they're always willing to accept new members! You just have to be willing to have a good freaking time!

lmao, I'm still laughing at your quote "

lol, thats what I said when I started out to write this. ...... "gee how long could that really take me to write"

Jen, I've only read it 5 times now. But every time I feel like I'm right back on that balcony, laughing and having a great time.

It's pretty sad when I look at all those pic's of the food and think..... I ate that, I ate that, I ate that..... OMG............ I ate it all..... (oink oink)

Thanks for the great review and keeping "alive" our Liberty Lunitik cruise.

Where will we be next year for Tara's birthday. Stay tuned folks........ It should be announced soon.

Love ya JEN...... (AND hOw many lemon drop Martini's did you drink???)hehe

Jen -- thanks Sounds like our getting white tags coupled with DH's method of opening up the dining room at 6:30 will be best to get us off the ship by 8:30 AM. We hang around the loyalty ambassador to make sure our color is called at the right time (they missed us on Mariner in Jan.). Sounds also like debarkation is easier at Port Canaveral. We were on the road by 8:15.

Sounds like Ajay was a fabulous Head Waiter. I think I have seen his name on a review of another ship. Do you know where he was prior to Liberty?

Hi there,

That is a great question. Our Concierge said that we could bring one non-diamond member with us. Maybe it varies from conc to conc, but ours said that it wasn't a problem. However, at night there are no children allowed. There was an age restriction in the letter I posted from her (on some page in the review ... lol).

We had an awesome time!!! :)

Wow, I'm surprised. As you said it must be up to each Concierge.

I'd say that PC is easier than Miami, only because it did not take an hour to disembark from the Mariner. lol, there's a review of that cruise too, if you want to see how our disembarkation went. he he he :)

No, I do not know where Ajay was prior to the Liberty. But wherever he was, I'm sure he was making one of his guests feel like the luckiest guest on the entire ship! :)

Jen -- read your review and enjoyed it. We love how easy PC is use. And we hope we can sail on Mariner before she leaves.
