HB Cruiser Posted September 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2007 We will be on the Enchantment Dec 6th and are wondering if the water is warm enough to swim in during December. Anyone been there that can let me know? Thanks in advance. Tim
okbowler Posted September 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2007 We have cruised the Carib. 7 times in Jan., Feb, and Mar. It is always warm enough to swim except on rare occasions when there is rain and a lot of cloud cover, even then the water may be warmer than the air. Can't remember when we went to CocoCay but remember sunning and swimming. Bill
HB Cruiser Posted September 26, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Bill Off topic here but by your screen name you might be a bowler. Is that correct? FYI, we own a bowling center in the southern part of Illinois. Tim
Wild Bill Posted September 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2007 We have been to Coco Cay in December, and it was warm enough to swim. Just give the sun a little time to warm things up, and then get in. Kathy
kc320 Posted September 26, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Since you are coming from up north it will probably feel great to you....water temp runs around 76 degrees then if I remember right.. as a Florida gal that's to cold for me... I won't even go in my pool until it's at least 80.......:D
songster2 Posted September 26, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 26, 2007 I remember one summer when we were snorkling at CocoCay that I swam over an area of water warm enough to almost take my breath away. It felt like a thermal spring or a very warm current. Haven't been there in the winter months, but last December we were in Labadee, and it was quite comfortable swimming. ;)
