This was also my very first cruise. Everything and everyone I encountered on the ship were awesome. There are plenty of things to do in each port. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Pride. Ship is very easy to get around, friendly staff, and great food. As for each port it all depends what you want to do. There is something for eveyone.

First of all, the Pride is an awsome ship! I've been on her twice already and want to go again really bad-before she is repositioned. I keep hinting to my DH how cheap the prices are right now but he just keeps quiet.

He loves it as much as I do but maybe he's going to surprise me with a cruise for our anniversary in November(we were married on the Pride).

We've always had the balcony rooms and would say the extra cost is worth every penny. The ports are lovely and fun. I prefer to say on the ship in

Mazatlan though.....then we have the pool almost all to ourselves plus it's alot

more quiet on board. The casino is closed tho' but that's okay with me.

Book the Pride. You won't be sorry.

Hello everyone - I'm interested in booking a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Carnival Pride in February 2008. I'm looking for any reviews...any positive or negative experiences. Thanks!

We loved the Pride, the ports, our visit to Long Beach and the Queen Mary.

The only negative was the weather on the first day heading to the Riviera, and the last day on the way back to Long Beach. We expected cooler weather...but it was cold enough that you really couldn't enjoy the pool. We went at the end of Jan. If sunning and spending time on the pool deck are a take it or leave it activity for you it'll be an awesome experience!

Payd:)

I loved the Pride! We enjoyed the ship. The ports were OK as we have never been to that coast of Mexico. Very different than the Carribean. We went to Westin Nikki Beach in PV, we renewed our vows on Stone Island, Mazatlan, and we did Cabo Wabo and Hard Rock in Cabo. We also took a boat over to Lover's Beach. The last day was our only bad weather day. We went March 3, and we saw whales. We also had an Aft Wrap balcony and that made the trip exceptional!!!!!

My daugher and I were on the Pride November 2006 and we just loved it and all the ports. I want to take my husband and go again. The wreather was nice that time of the year. It was a little warm in Pv but real nice in the other two ports. WE snorkled in Cabo and the water was very nice. We had some rough seas on Thursday night but the rest was very smooth. All of the food was great and the service excellent. There is nothing I would want to change about the ship. We had a great time.

We have sailed twice (once as a couple and once as a family), and we are booked to go again in July 08. Absolutey have enjoyed it everytime, on and off the ship. We always sail in the summer, so its really hot but we love the sun & heat! In PV we have done the Los Veranos Canopy/Zip line tour...it was awesome & sightseeing, Mazatlan - Randi's Happy Horses on the beach...again awesome and city tour, and Cabo...took in all the bars, and shopping.

Wow - thanks for all the great feedback everyone! Some of you mentioned the ports are much different from the Caribbean. We've been to the Caribbean the last 3 years (Eastern, Western and Southern). Each time was great, but I think we've seen enough of the Caribbean for a few years. What are the differences in the ports...?

We've been on the Victory, Glory and Triumph and the ships have their similarities (as expected), but the Pride sounds great!

You might also want to consider the Spirit, 8 days out of San Diego, same price as 7 days on the Pride. :D Different ports, but just as much fun. Z-town is the most beautiful and peaceful port you will ever encounter. :)

We loved the Pride so much, we booked this Spirit cruise 2 days after returning from the Pride last January. Now the cruise is only 20 days away! We can't wait! We are really looking forward to Zihautanejo as we have heard some nice things about it.
