Mariner Eastern Itinerary - Question About Time

Recommended Posts

We are trying to plan excursions during our stop in St. Thomas on the Mariner.

The ship is supposed to be in port from 9 am to 8 pm.

Is that local time? Or ship time? Does the ship stay on it's time (Eastern) or does it shift to the local time depending on the port? (Any recent cruisers - do you remember changing clocks for the St. Thomas stop?)

Many of the day sails that we are interested in leave at 9 am, and we just won't be able to make it if we are *arriving* at 9 am and need to take a 20-minute cab ride.

Thanks for any info.

Most of the tour companies, if not all, know what time the ships pull into port. They do wait. When you book tell them what time your ship arrives and ask if this will be a problem.

I'll bet you will be OK.....always stay on ship time, you don't want to be left behind.

Happy cruising...:)
