Carnival Shore Excursion

Has anyone actually taken the Carnival Shore Excursion in Cozumel that includes a Highlight Tour of Cozumel along with Shopping? Was it what you expected? Would you take it again or just tour on your own? What are my other options in Coz if I not going to snorkle?:confused:

I can't imagine doing an excursion here. If there ever was a port that you could go it on your own, this is it. Google Cozumel, and you will find tons of things to do. I researched it for 9 months before I went. We rented a jeep and had a blast. Several people on our ship did the same. No one had a single problem that I am aware of. By the way, the east side of the island was beautiful. There was this tour bus letting people off to take pictures at each beach.
