You couldnt find food on the cruise ship??????? WOW!!!

Dan

Yeah I wish I had that problems. Unfortuanatly I always seem to be able to find food and my butt shows it. :p

OP I'm really sorry you had such a miserable time. It must have been awful. I can't imagine spending that much money and being so miserable. What a waste of good vacation time huh? Anyway I'm sure you will be able to find a cruiseline that is more suitable to you and your needs. Try Celebrity. It's more upscale that Carnival. Alot of little extras that make it nicer. I hear people really like it.

Thank you standby, and I also agree with your thoughts on the buffet also !
The pleasure was mine, kind regards, PS it is also pleasant to have an American say thank you, it was quite rare to hear it on the Triumph, the loud tannoy did not bother us, it was the Gimme this, Gimme that,I wanna this, I wanna that, so I thank you

10) Ship was very hard to get around, only 2 decks that went all the way through the ship in the common areas and they went right through heavily smoky areas and I am very allergic to smoke. Also, you could never go outside on deck 3 to enjoy the view because on this ship the smoke on both sides.

I'll admit my first cruise it took me about the whole cruise to get used to a layout of the ship. I'll share my secret of what I do that helps everyone out.

There are more than just two floors that go the entire length of the ship. Use the floors that have rooms on them. You don't have to go all the way up to lido or promenade to go across the ship. Nothing says you can't be on a floor that your room isn't on to cut across the ship. The hallways might be a bit narrow, but this avoids the smoke of the casino, and you don't have to go outside.

It's also great if you are on the wrong side of the ship to enter the dining room. You can go down to floor two if you are on the lobby deck, and cut across, or up two floors. Take your pick.

Once you get that down navigating the Conquest and Destiny class ship is easier.

Nice! Slam the Americans:rolleyes: While some of us Americans enjoy socializing by sharing a beer, ordering pizza and rooting for our home team, I now see some of the Europeans like to use thier time socializing by hiding behind thier computer and slamming Americans:rolleyes: Makes me want to vomit..........but I will digress for now.

Quite rare to hear thank-you? What kind of group were you traveling with anyway?:o Honestly, I hear thank-you all the time from my fellow Americans... and please... and excuse me.... etc. :) Just as I and many other American parents make a point of teaching our children to say thank you, please, and excuse me. Maybe you had a particularly rowdy group?;)

I feel for the poor OP. I believe that above all else, not getting correct information the first time you ask is inexcusable. I hate it when I am told something that is not right by representatives of a company. That is just bad business.

Thank you Surf, I was beginning to think this board only had bullies on it that liked to destroy anyone that did not bleed Carnival. I was mearly giving me opinion of the ship and quickly found out that the only opinion that is allowed is the one that says how wonderful carnival is

Do you ever listen to people ordering in a fast food joint?

Walk up to counter, "yeah, gimme a big mac combo with jumbo fries and coke."

No please. No thank you. Gimme!

Sure, SOME people say, "I'd like a #2 combo, please." And then say "thank you" when handed the tray.

It's the exception rather than the rule. Just listen to the people around you. The nearly complete lack of common courtesy is astounding. It's really very sad.

I'm sure someone will flame me now, in very large words just to be sure everyone notices.

Generalization? Sure. But the masses are not a very polite bunch!

Y'all know it's the truth, even if you don't want anyone to point it out!

And I still don't know why everyone seems to be so offended that the OP took the time to post a thread about her cruise. You'd think she'd kicked your dog!

I want to hear EVERYONE'S reviews - good and bad. There's no need to shout down every person who has less than glowing comments about their cruise.

Yep - it is my pet peeve about these boards. If you have any complaints - it is taken as a character flaw - or you are accused of making it up or not trying to make the best of a situation. There are some that would be happy just to have these boards just one big Carnival pep rally!

Jenny this is so not true. Nobody is trying to destroy you. You are overly sensitive. We were merely questioning your complaints. Once questioned you threw up your defense mode. Believe me I for one do not how you say bleed Carnival. There are 2 Carnival ships I have sailed on that I will never sail again. But even on those cruises we had fun. Just didn't like the ships. And we do sail other lines. But some of your complaints just do not make sense to us. You start out by saying this is a test to see if we will sail Carnival again:rolleyes: Why would you even say that? You said you sailed the Miracle and had a great time. So why in the world would you start your cruise by putting the Liberty to the test:confused: By doing that it just looks like you set yourself up for the worst.

You did post on a public forum and not everyone is going to agree with you. No one here has personally attacked you or were trying to destroy you. They were just questioning your complaint.

Maybe you should post your review in the review column that way you won't get any feed back.:)

And remember everyone has opinions......

Yes people are rude all over the world. What's your point:confused:

I'm certainly not offended by the op's thread. Just giving her feed back isn't that what cc is all about. Asking questions and gaining info.

Wow very nicely said KF. I am not trying to attack the OP by any means, but like you yourself pointed out, the original post had not one single positive thing to say. Even the neutral opinions were backed by slams at the expense of Carnival. I have also been on ships that were less than stelar. I always found some way to have fun regardless. I know that regardless of how great the cruise is there is the possibility of them dropping the ball. You are complaining to the wrong people. I have successfully complained to the corporation in the past and have been compensated by them for less than wonderful exerience. You had the option to terminate the trip when you were unhappy on the first day and have the balance refunded to you . The Vacation Guarentee. Sorry it was so bad, but why not share your observations to the Company. In addition if you think that we are cheerleaders, I do not look good in a skirt, but I do question when I was on this ship not one month ago and it was phenominal. Sure there are always ways to improve, but that is why there is feedback. If you want to write a review and not have us respond, please post it on the review area.

Sorry but I just wanted to share the other opinon.

I am curious why you stood on line for 40 minutes, why didn't you just walk through the dining room and find your table to check what kind it was, whether it was for 2 or not. Every cruise we had been on the table numbers are right on the table and all you have to do is match it to the one on your card. Very easy and no waiting, if there was a problem when you actually found your table then you can wait in line.

Sue,

We did exactly that on our Liberty cruise in June. Unfortunately there wasn't a number to be found.

I had a great cruise except for the dining room. The service in there is very slow. The wait staff have entirely too many tables and i just read that the are going to cut back more staff.

I think it is more likely to be stale pizza and cold beer in large amounts that you seem to like that causes that unfortunate emesis.

Yes I would agree with the computer thing, but I for one only eat at the table were I can do justice to the food infront of me, that to ME is civilisation.

I unlike you cannot claim to speak for all Europeans, and from a personal standpoint as we have quite a large amount of ignorant people in Europe, so may I repeat from another thread I met a number of very pleasant Americans onboard the Triumph who shared my dismay in the lack of manners of alot of Americans onboard.

Do I judge all Americans by this, no I have a greater regard for my interlect than that, the same does not seem to apply to you.

My wife and I can communicate in 8 languages, it was of interest to her to discuss with hotel staff in their own languages what they thought about passengers in the Carrib today compared to her time in the 90s, she said nothing has changed, you have to :) and take the tips.

May I call you "Kurbs" old chaps, and join with the other sycophants.

Kurbs it sometimes helps if you place your head between your legs when you feel sick.

Social intercourse is great, my very kind regards
