Book through Celebrity or not?

I'm looking to book a CC stateroom on the Constellation for January 15th. The price on the Celebrity website is $1280 pp. What other booking fees and taxes will there be booking the trip through Celebrity?

 

I got the same price from ******.com. However, they will give a $180 discount for booking the cruise online. Also, if I am booking the cruise online, will I be able to apply my 1 category upgrade bc I am a Captains Club member?

 

If anyone has any suggestions as to the best route to take, please advise.

I believe that is the full price, with no other charges, when you book through Celebrity. But I think you can still do better with a travel agent. You have already sited one example of a discount. If you a booking a CC cabin I don't believe you will get much of an upgrade, perhaps just a better location still in the CC category. You will not be upgraded from a CC to a sky suite, unless something very unusual happens.

You don't receive Captain's Club upgrades with anything above a category 5 which would be upgraded to a 4. There are no upgrades for 2 C, B, A, or CC or Suites.

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess booking through the travel agent will save me a couple bucks.

 

Also, a while back I was on a site where you could find out whether or not specific cabins were reserved already or not. Does anyone know what that site is because I am having a very hard time finding it.
