Smuggler's Cove

Can anyone tell me about Smuggler's cove?

I hear the road is rough getting there, but will cabs take us and stay or pick us up later?

Cab Price?

Is there still drinks there?

How is the beach, water, snorkeling?

Anything else I should know?

What should be my second choice?

Thanks!

Yes the road is rough and narrow. Cabs do go there but I have also heard of some refusing the trip so it depends on the driver and how he feels at the time. I am unsure of pricing. As for staying and waiting for you, I don't know. Since they make their money from driving people around I would think he would want to either get paid well or go get some other fares while you enjoy the beach day. Best to ask up front and negotiate a price.

Drinks are sold by vendors that set up under the trees along the shore.

The beach is beautiful, water is usually calm and warm, snorkeling is not that great as most of the reef is not in particularly good condition.

There are no "facilities" at Smuggler's.

For snorkeling I would choose Brewer's over Smuggler's, for a pretty, white sand beach, Smuggler's is hard to beat.
