We Sail On Grand Princess On Monday But Have An Overnight Stay Booked Through Princess At The Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. Anyone Had Experience Of This Hotel??

I know that area well. It is a busy area during the day, as the MTA, Board of Education buildings, and other city buildings are located there. If you are new to NY, I would not walk around at night there. It can be a little hairy around there. The Fulton Mall is just a couple of blocks away, but it is not a mall in the traditional sense, it is a shopping area. It gets very dark and quiet at night. If you decide to go out to dinner, take a cab across the Brooklyn Bridge and go into Manhattan. You are right in Chinatown and Little Italy there and you have some wonderful choices for dinner.

The hotel is fine, you should be comfortable there.

We just stayed there in July before our cruise on the Crown. It was great and we would stay there again. We took the subway over to Manhattan the first day and taxi back at night. The second day we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, the walking entrance is about a 5 minute walk from the Marriott. We again took a taxi back at night. We will try to see more of Brooklyn the next time we visit.
