riccox Posted October 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2007 I'm looking for some input on the best places to shop for cigars on the southern Caribbean itinerary (RebelJohn, are you out there?). Not necessarily interested in Habanos, as they are too pricey and a lot of times fake, but a good Honduran or Dominican (RP Vintage, Padron Anni, etc) would be nice. rebeljohn Posted October 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2007 riccox..............Depending on what islands you visit, St. Martin and Aruba are the only ones to have a LCDH store.......cuban distributors.......... I have not been able to find any deals on any other cigars in the Caribbean. I have had better luck ordering from internet dealers on all non-cuban cigars. It is nice though, to visit local cigar shops, and try the 'local' stuff. A lot of times, a hand roller will be doing their thing, and a fresh cigar is a nice change............... When we stopped at Point Seraphine, St.Lucia I bought a small tin of 10 honey-flavoured Tatiana cigarillos, made in the Dominican Republic! I remember there was quite some choice available in one of the small Duty Free shops within the Pt.Seraphine Cruise Complex, as soon as you get off the ship, so you should find something there.
