Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted July 15, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2008 It is almost impossible to predict this far in advance if there will be any hurricanes this coming November. The best thing you can do is study how many known hurricanes in the past century have hit during November and the paths they took as far as is known. Historically there have been fewer "canes" or lesser tropical disturbances in November, but they do happen once in a awhile...even in December, in fact. You can probably get a more definite idea closer to November, especially in late October.
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted July 15, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2008 I just did a quick check of 2005, one of the most active hurricane seasons in recorded history. Even that busy year, there was only one hurricane in November, a Category One hurricane called Epsilon. It formed far out in the Atlantic and never made landfall anywhere. For a second I thought the same thing, pretty far out to be asking about Nov. hurricanes, until I looked at the date of the original post. They were looking for 3 week out info.  Gregg
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted July 16, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2008 Goodness, I never even looked at the date of the original post! :o That said, my answer would still be almost the same. Even three weeks out, it is tricky to make an exact prediction of location, path, intensity and category or even IF there will be a hurricane.
