LA layover suggestions

We have a 12 hr layover in LA (our original flight got cancelled). Does anyone have any suggestions of what we could do while we are waiting around? Can we put our luggage anywhere? I hear traffic is pretty bad, so would want to stay close to the airport if we could leave. Thanks!

Consider the Hacienda Hotel on Sepulveda Boulevard ( just a milesouth of the airport fpr a day room and luggage storage. They offer frequent shuttle buses to the airport and also offer the convenience of a supermarket and some fast food restaurants nearby. Much better than the Hotel row on century boulevard with almost no other options for eating out than staying at the hotel

Still among the favorites for that late afternoon walk ( more for the aviation enthousiasts ) to go North of the Airport on Sepuklveda Boulevard for the "In And Out Burger".

Try a double double " Animal style " with the fries Animal style there and grab a table to watch both the sunset and the arriving jumbos.

( For the animal style, Google: " In and Out Secret menu").

Same tip when you come back from FP with fish gills growing on your head after too much poisson cru!

Ps: from LAx Terminal take the Yellow Dot parking shuttle for Sepulveda, the Parking lot is right next door to in and out.

Another solution is to rent a car (luggage storage in mind) and drive to Santa Monica, Malibu to enjoy your day by the beach.Get a car with Navigation system not to get lost.

If it is before going to FP look towards the Southwest and wave hello to Tahiti, if on the return, farewell then .

Hope this helps

You might think of overnighting in Manhattan Beach. It is only 5 minutes further south from the airport and a nice beach town. A taxi will be cost about $20 each way but once at the hotel downtown you can walk everywhere, to dinner, to shops, to the pier, for a walk along the Strand. It is a really cute town. The hotel downtown is called Shades.
