I heard the major reason they charged for the popcorn was because they didnt want kids to get free bags and throw them overboard.

It's only a buck! And, I have to have popcorn when I watch a big screen movie, so it's worth it to me.

What do they usually play on them during the day?

During the day on Freedom they showed many of the previous activities on the cruise, also the welcome show and Johns chat session.

On our cruise it seemed the hairy chest competition got a lot of playing time on subsequent days.

 

Sometimes a music video was on display but not often.

 

As far as movies goes the movie on the screen at night usually appeared on the cabin TVs the next day. The pools were covered with netting but the hot pools were available. By the time the movies were shown there was not much activity in the Lido area as most seemed to be at the show or in bed so noise did not seem to interfere with the movie sound.

Stranger Than Fiction, Wizard of Oz, Talladega Nights, The Prestige, Happy Feet, Dreamgirls, Casino Royal, Maltese Falcon.

 

Video Concerts: Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire; Ray Charles; Nat King Cole; U2; Johnny Cash; Beyonce; Bee Gees; Pavarotti.

 

And Sunday Night Football (which was the Dallas Cowboys @ Chicago Bears on Sept. 23 at 8 pm).

at night the pools are closed and the hot tubs are open

they normally play concerts and movies and sometimes sports

the movies will be at like 6:30 and 9 and the concerts at like 5

 

Very neat cant wait till my victory cruise.

Thanks everyone! I guess the Legend doesnt have one, how bout mini golf?

 

There is some talk on another thread about the Legend going into drydock in Dec. or Jan and getting mini golf and Waterworks:D Maybe they will do a big screen also....:D :D I hope all the chatter is correct:eek:

We really enjoyed movies on the deck. We went to Pizza Parlor and asked for a whole pie. We took it up on deck and watched Spiderman 2 and ate pizza. They played two movies every night. They were usually pretty good ones.

What about movies at nite? I heard on Princess the pools are open and you can watch from the pool. Is it the same on the Liberty? And popcorn???

Does anyone know when Glory is due in Dry dock again...I don't guess I could hope for a big screen on her by May???
