Veendam cruise Nov 3

Is anyone out there booked on this cruise? We've never cruised with Holland America before. Any tips? How formal if formal? Will they allow you to bring your own liquor aboard?

There will be 4 formal nights and 10 Smart Casual (no more informal or casual nights on HAL).

I don't drink, so you'll have to get your liquor question answered by someone else. I do take Pepsi on board with me though!!:D

"Formal" means "formal". Dress-up clothes for women, tux/dinner jacket for men. You can also meet the code without dressing in formalwear by wearing cocktail dresses or party outfits; men in dark suit or jacket & tie.

You may bring water, soda, champagne, or wine on board. HAL rules forbid bringing hard liquor and beer.
