Question regarding D1 vs D2

Recommended Posts

Hello, DW wife booked a D1 cabin (our first balcony) on the Grandeur next Oct and was wondered what is the deference between D1 vs. D2. I do not see a difference in the verbiage when reading about the categories and they are both on the same deck. Is it just the position of the cabin on the ship, and a difference in price as well.

Thank you

D1 on Grandeur are on Deck 7. Maybe it is different on different ships but on Grandeur they are on 7. JS on 8, deck 9 is the Windjammer and pool. I don't think there are any rooms above deck 8 but you can check the deck plans for that ship.
